The Cat in the Irregular Hat

Hello. I have a big box of used cat and kitten hats that I have collected over the years for various occasions. As of recently my cat, Snowman, is no longer living and thus I am forced to get rid of these precious memories. I would not feel right asking money for them so I am offering the whole box for free. There are many styles from formal to cute and funny.

There is a variety of 14 different hats total. I just hope you and your pet can find as much joy in these hats as me and Snowman once did.

E-mail me if you are interested and I will give you my address where you can pick them up. I can also arrange for a free delivery if you are not too far away.

Thank you, Patty

Please accept my deepest condolences for your Snowman. Milo the Kissing Cat was my soulmate, and I still tear up when I think about him. From him, we learned that cats are actually little people in stagy fur suits. He taught unconditional love and total forgiveness. Milo never held a grudge for more than a few minutes. Except when I made him the Santa hat. I crocheted it by hand, especially for him. I made sure there were holes for his ears and that the strap wouldn't be too tight. Really went all out. My plan was to take a photo of him for my Christmas cards that year.
Well, when the hat was finished, I tried it on him. It fit purrfectly and the earholes were in exactly the right places. I turned around for ONE INSTANT to pick up the camara. When I turned back around, the hat was gone! I searched high and low. He wasn't sitting on it. It wasn't on the floor. It wasn't between the couch cushions. (I disected that couch before I gave it to the Salvation Army!) He hadn't eaten it; I watched the litter box for a week...eeeeww.
I tore that house up from one end to the other. I asked him what he had done with his Santa hat, but he wouldn't show me. He flicked his tail at me and went under the toilet. It wasn't there. I checked.
I didn't even find it when we moved! I asked Milo many times, but he refused to tell. He did mention that he prefered dignity to fame and that Hell would defrost before he would wear a hat for a photograph.
He was with me for sixteen wonderful years. He died five years ago. I still miss him.
Good luck finding a home for the hats, incidentally.
